David Lynam Presents a Lecture for the UKTI International Trade Program at Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University

On Tuesday, October 6, 2015, David J. Lynam of Lynam & Associates presented a lecture at an event hosted by the Kellogg School of Management at the James L. Allen Center of Northwestern University. The presentation was part of a five day intensive program for medium and small businesses sponsored by the British Government through their UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) program.

The UKTI “Fundamentals for Success in U.S. Markets” program provides a primer for UK small and medium sized businesses looking to develop a presence in the United States. Program attendees represent a wide cross-section of businesses, ranging from BanaBay, a banana exporter with 20 employees, to Tetrosyl Ltd., an automotive care product manufacturer with 1500 employees.

David’s presentation focused on the importance of protecting intellectual property for foreign businesses entering the United States. He also covered the multitude of issues which confront smaller companies in the U.S. and emphasized that the Midwest is a prime location for small businesses because of its low cost and easy access to the rest of the country.
